The ultimate source for all past knowledge is of course the Bible. God speaks through His prophets, and the Bible is a collection of the writings of prophets over the centuries. The Bible is a history book, a law book, and a book of prophecy on the future. It is also a guidebook for navigating the trials and tribulations you will suffer on Earth. From the day you were born, you've been the subject of temptations by the Devil and his minions to see if you would sacrifice your soul to the depths of his world below. Only the wisdom contained within the Scriptures can provide the knowledge necessary to resist the temptations of the Great Deceiver. Understanding is the key to your salvation as a follower of the Savior (Jesus).
Unfortunately, many modern religions preach different interpretations of the Holy Scriptures to their followers, and of course, they can't all be right. Prophets have been appearing on regular 500-year intervals for many thousands of years to deliver their warnings about important future events. In this modern high tech world of science, we've been taught that predicting the future isn't possible, and unfortunately, as faith in science and technology has increased, faith in God has decreased. We are now entering the Days of Vengeance and we can now plainly see the failures of a society following the doctrines of men instead of the doctrines of God. The Bible told us that in the End Time even the churches would fall into sin and be punished by God.
